Safety Precautions
You should not take Cialis Professional if:
- You suffer heart problems such as severe heart failure, irregular heartbeat or unstable angina
- You suffer from high or low blood pressure
- You have suffered a heart attack within 90 days or a stroke within 6 months
- Your doctor has advised you not to engage in sexual activity because of heart problems
- You take recreational drugs such as butyl or amyl nitrate
- You have an allergy to any component in Cialis Professional
- You are taking nitroprusside or any form of nitrates such as nitroglycerin or isosorbide
- You suffer from serious liver problems or hereditary degenerative eye problems such as retinitis pigmentosa

Cialis Professional may cause fainting, blurred vision, drowsiness or dizziness which may become worse if you take certain medications or alcohol. Don't perform any dangerous tasks or drive while taking Cialis Professional.
Cialis Professional may also cause fainting, dizziness or lightheadness which may become worse with exercise, fever, hot weather or alcohol. When you wake up in the morning, stand or sit up slowly and lie or sit down as soon as you experience any symptoms. Don't drink large quantities of alcohol such as 5+ drinks when you are taking Cialis Professional. You may suffer headaches, a rapid heartbeat, low blood pressure or dizziness. You should also not take other treatments or medications for erectile dysfunction when you take this drug.
Cialis Professional will not prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases or HIV so be sure to use an appropriate birth control method such as a condom. Cialis Professional won't prevent pregnancy so you should use birth control. Older individuals should be careful when taking Cialis Professional as the side effects may be increased. Children and women, particularly anyone who is pregnant or breast feeding, should not take Cialis Professional. It has not been proven whether Cialis Professional appears in breast milk so talk to your doctor before taking the drug if you are pregnant.
Possible Side Effects
Serious Side Effects
You may experience some of the following serious side effects:
- Shortness of breath
- Severe or prolonged dizziness
- Irregular heartbeat
- Chest pain
- Painful or prolonged erection (4+ hours)
- Nausea
- Dizziness
- Angina (discomfort, tingling, tightness or numbness in the jaw, arms, chest or neck)
- Swelling of the legs or ankles
- Allergic reaction (closing of the throat, hives, difficulty breathing or swelling of the face, tongue or lips)
If you suffer any of the above, stop taking Cialis Professional and seek immediate medical attention.
Less Serious Side Effects
You may suffer any of the following less serious side effects while taking Cialis Professional:
- Nasal congestion
- Headaches
- Flushing
- Rash or itching
- Mild dizziness
- Diarrhea
- Vision abnormalities
If you experience any of the above or symptoms not listed, you can continue to take Cialis Professional, but you should talk to your doctor.
Additional Information
Six-month studies have been conducted to prove the safety and effectiveness of Cialis Professional to treat male impotence. Males with mild to severe cases of erectile dysfunction were given either placebos or 20 mg of Cialis Professional. Cialis Professional improved erectile dysfunction compared to the placebo. The success rate at the end of the study was 73.5% with the ability to achieve an erection and engage in sexual intercourse used as the only factor.
